If a birthday is not acknowledged on the interwebs did it really happen?
It was MPS’s birthday yesterday and I didn’t write a blog post.
Nor did I announce it on any of my social media platforms.
There was cake, but I didn’t bake it (for the first time EVER) and there was no Instagramming of that shit.
Dinner was had, which I DID make, but as above, it was not shared with the world.
As requested I made a metric arsetonne of Bogan Burgers and that is a store bought (OMG THE HORROR) mud cake with artfully arranged strawberries which was the best I could do one handed.
And anyway, it is still his birthday somewhere in the world so I kinda not suck as much.
Happy Birthday MPS. Â You are so lucky to have me.

Happy Birthday MPS !!!!
Even if NOBODY acknowledges a birthday – it happens !!!
We were supposed to be going on holiday to Tasmania and would have been away for A’s 50th – win for me as I don’t have to organise a party – but then I couldn’t get the time off work so we are going earlier and will be home for said birthday which sucks because he will probably want a party and I hate organising parties !!!
I hope he had a good day anyway !
Me
Awww … but you still made a party for him. That counts. So you don’t suck at all. I’m thinking you were going through a lot if you couldn’t bake a lot, so it is the thought and the effort of getting it all together for him that really shows your love. Hope he had a happy birthday. x
Happy birthday MPS , cake is still cake and burgers …mmmm.
You mean it was my birthday?
You mean I have you?
<3
Nyawwwww 🙂
I think that’s a pretty damn good effort! You put strawberries on the mudcake? That’s FANCY in my house.
I would’ve thought those yummy-looking burgers and cake would make up for any hurt feelings… 😉
Of course you don’t suck!!
And bought cake is still cake, stick a Birthday candle in it and who really cares where it came from?
The burgers look yummy.
Happy Birthday MPS.
To be honest, THAT’S what I call a birthday dinner. Fuck restaurants and going out. Gimme trakkies, moccasins, dirty t-shirts and a ham and cheese slider with some store-bought cake.
I’m totally going roast chicken and chips from my local for my birthday.
A bloggy friend of mine just wrote about her mother, who passed away a few years ago, and her favorite birthday dinner of fried chicken and angel food cake. It’s the simple things, baby, the simple things.
Happy Birthday MPS!
There was cake, that is always enough 😉 xx
Happy Birthday MPS!! Damn, those burgers look amazing!
Happy Belated Indulgent Food Day, MPS!
(Cabaret kept me busy, I am now playing bloggy catch up!)
