We have been relying heavily on takeaway food when days get hard. (every day is hard)
Or I am broken (was there ever a time where a part of my body wasn’t broken down? Ever?)
Or we have been busy (when are we not?)
Or feeling lazy (heh, ALL OF THE DAYS)
And besides the COST of eating junk food, there is the complete and utter BLAH’s that highly processed food gives you a few hours later.
So we have a two week ban. Well according to Boo it is a two week, four day ban. (damn control freak)
I have stocked up on a couple of easy meals (boxed fish, pies) and there is always toasted sangas or poached eggs for lazy days. But I am hoping that this will break the cycle of ‘fuck it, just pick up something’ or the crazy ‘rewarding’ myself for surviving another day with not having to worry about dinner.
Or even worse not wanting to cook because of the dishes it produces and a messy kitchen depresses me.
Don’t get me wrong, it is not any where NEAR an every night thing, but two or three times a week is really too much.
Financially and for our health.
So its on. We are day 2 and feeling awfully virtuous.
