For the first time in his life I think Boo is lonely.
He sits out in the yard with this bubbles, his lawn chair pointed towards the child care centre two houses down and listens to the kids play.
And hopes that the kids over the fence come outside.
We go out shopping or for walks and he introduces himself to everyone that walks by.
It goes mostly ignored.
He is 13 now.
The Damn Emos are no longer here to entertain him with their revolving band of friends waltzing in day and night.
For the last 6 weeks it has just been him and me.
He is lonely.
And while that is HUGE and WONDERFUL and OH SO FUCKING AGE APPROPRIATE AND ISN’T THIS ALL YOU EVER WANTED KELLEY OMG it is shattering my heart to watch him sit out there, or reach out to others…
Two more weeks my buddy…
Two more weeks and you will have more friends than you will ever know what to do with.

Boy 1 (also 13) had his first day of high school today. New school, new peers, and all the time his mother worrying, wondering, hoping they see the jewel within….
