Sorry.

in serious shit

About fucking time.

I weep for those children.

I weep for those mothers. Those fathers, brothers, sisters, grandparents and communities.

Like I would say to anyone who has suffered a loss, an indignity, a horrific situation.  I am so sorry.

And imagine, just imagine, that it happened to you.

Sorry, a thousand times sorry.

One word, one frigging word… why was it so hard to say?

The Spouse’s great grandma was one of the lucky ones who was actually rescued.Others were treated worse than animals.

Yup. Those first three words sum it up. But I’m glad the day finally arrived.

Amazing. I just read about the Stolen Generations – as I really had never heard about it.

It’s amazing what we do to our fellow man in the name of “for their own good”.

If only the rest of the world can learn a lesson from your Mr. Rudd.

Can’t believe it has taken so long. Maybe now we start to do some good things building on this.

I had no idea…

I agree – like you said, imagine it happened to you …

Maybe now we can start to heal as a Nation… I hope that this is the start of something good..

The Howard Years had made me Ashamed to say I was Australian, Now if we can get rid of the Refugee Detention centres. We might be able to move forward with something resembling a bit of humanity…

cheers Kim..

Yes about time.

11 Mad goat lady February 14, 2008 at 12:15 am

Long overdue…may the healing begin.

12 Gina February 14, 2008 at 5:11 am

I hope the healing can begin, indeed.

I was weeping in a taxi listening to Rudd.

This is such an important thing for Australia.

yes, sorry is a good start … I feel for the innocent mothers who had their children taken and never saw them again… I did lose a child so I can imagine it. I hope MR Rudd addresses the practical issues like infant mortality too.

Very important. I was sitting in the car listening to this with my kids. Imagine if it was them. Too horrific.
